Housewife Beats Husband To Death In Enugu

The people of the Isiuzo Local Government
Area of Enugu State have been thrown into
mourning after a housewife murdered her
husband in the area.

The deceased, Elijah Agbo, who hailed from
Imirike Agu village in the Udenu Local
Government Area of the state, was said to be
relaxing in the living room of his house with
his wife, Grace, and daughter, Deborah, in the
evening of March 5, 2015.

It was learnt that around 9pm, the housewife,
Grace, asked the daughter to go to bed.
Shortly after Deborah retired to bed, the girl
was said to have heard a loud cry from her
father.

The cry was said to be accompanied with a
thud, which reportedly made Deborah to rush
to the living room, where she saw her father
in a pool of blood.

It was learnt that Grace had used a heavy
stick to smash her husband’s head
immediately Deborah stepped out of the
living room.

Elijah was said to have died immediately.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Ebere
Amaraizu, said the housewife had been
arrested.

Amaraizu said, “The police have yet to
determine why Grace murdered her
husband.”
